You receive the error message: This appliance has not DNS resolvable hostname. Please configure it manually.
- ESET NSX Service Manager Console is unable to verify that the hostname for the appliance is resolvable and a DNS query for hostname and DNS does not contain a record for this appliance
Solution
Follow the instructions below to check your appliance network settings.

Exit from the console to the appliance terminal.
- Run the ifconfig command to output the network configuration.
- Run the cat /etc/resolv.conf command to output configured DNS servers.

Run the dig command to check that the hostname can be queried: dig
@ . - Contact your network administrator to configure DNS server and connections from your appliance. After your network administrator has configured DNS server and connections from appliance, delete and re-deploy vAgent Host appliance in your virtual environment.
