Windows users: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Windows antivirus software

Running two antivirus products on the same computer can degrade performance and cause system instability. It is important to uninstall any previously installed antivirus software from your system before installing your ESET security product for macOS.

Uninstall instructions

1. Click the link associated with the antivirus software currently installed on your system and follow the prompts or instructions on the website*.

   • BitDefender
   • ClamXav
   • Intego
   • McAfee
   • Norton (Symantec)
   • Trend Micro
     
     

2. After uninstallation is complete, restart your computer.

3. Proceed with installing ESET Cyber Security or installing ESET Endpoint Security or ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS.
