Issue
- Windows Security does not detect your ESET security product for Windows
Solution
-
In the Windows search bar, type Command Prompt and select Run as administrator from the context menu on the right side.
-
In the command prompt window, type NET STOP WINMGMT /Y and press the Enter key.
-
Type REN %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\WBEM\REPOSITORY REP.OLD and press the Enter key.
-
Type EXIT and press the Enter key to close the window.
-
Restart the system.
-
Windows should start normally, but you may be prompted to restart the system one more time to complete the changes caused by resetting the core repository. You may also need to restart one more time if Windows Security still does not detect your ESET product.
