Upgrade license information
ESET will automatically upgrade MSPs Partner's current single-product licenses to a Protection Tier license. MSPs will receive an emailed notification before being upgraded. Maximum protection for our MSPs is our top priority. The license upgrade will not impact product functionality. MSPs can continue uninterrupted use of currently deployed ESET products. For more information on this upgrade, view the FAQ section.

FAQ
- Is there an extra cost for this upgrade?
No, there are no additional costs to the upgrade of single-product licenses. - Do I get the Web Console for free?
THE ESET PROTECT On-Prem console is included in the ESET PROTECT On-Prem Essential or ESET PROTECT On-Prem Entry protection tier. MSPs that will be migrated to one of these two solutions can deploy the on-premises security Web Console for free. - What are the benefits of the upgrade?
Depending on the upgraded solution, MSPs can extend company protection with;
-
- Single-pane-of-glass management of your security with ESET PROTECT On-Prem console
- Extend the protection of your file servers with ESET Server Security
- Secure various platforms and operating systems depending on your flexible needs
- I do not need file server security. Why do I need an upgrade?
This license consolidation upgrade affects many of our products purchased as individual SKUs. We aim to consolidate select individual SKU products to make the procurement process easier for you. If your company situation changes, you can use the license for any of the included products in the protection tiers. - Will this upgrade impact ESET support for the product we currently use?
No, ESET support for your current product in its current status will remain unchanged, but we do encourage you to review the ESET End of Life policy to see if an ESET product you may be using is approaching its End of Life. - How do I manage my license?
MSPs Partners will use the ESET PROTECT Hub or ESET MSP Administrator portal to administer licenses or activate trials for the latest on-premises and cloud-based solutions. - Where can I find more details on the ESET PROTECT On-Prem Entry or ESET PROTECT On-Prem Essential Protection Tiers?
See our Solutions page for information on ESET PROTECT Entry or ESET PROTECT Essential on-premises. The on-premises license version only includes deployment of the ESET PROTECT On-Prem console. For the cloud console, MSPs must purchase a cloud-based ESET Product Tier. View ESET's full portfolio. - Can I use ESET PROTECT Web Console within the ESET PROTECT On-Prem Essential or ESET PROTECT On-Prem Entry Production Tiers?
No, only the ESET PROTECT OnPrem console can be deployed within the on-premises Protection Tiers. To use the ESET PROTECT console, you must purchase one of our cloud-based production tiers; ESET PROTECT Entry, Advanced, Complete, Enterprise, or Elite. - I am using ESET's API integration for ESET PROTECT Hub or EMA. What does this mean for me?
The Protection Tier you are migrated to will have a new product code.
-
- If you load live data, including licenses and available products from EPH or EMA2 API, and do not store or cache any data, no manual change is needed.
- If you store product codes or cache data, you must manually change the legacy product codes to the new ones.
- Will I need to reactivate the products with a new license?
No, all products will remain active.
