Create IDS exclusions on individual client workstations

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Press the F5 key to access Advanced setup. Click Firewall, expand Advanced and then click Edit next to IDS exceptions.

  1. Click Add.

  1. Select the Alert, type the Remote IP address (IP address of the machine with the software that scans the network).
    Alternatively, to set up an IDS exclusion for a locally installed application, click the three dots on the right of the Application field and select the path to the .exe file. You can also type the full path, e.g. C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe.
  2. In the Action section, select No from the drop-down menu. Click OKOK →OK to save.
