[KB7934] Convert the configuration of an ESET application on a client device into a policy through ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Issue

Solution

1. Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

2. Open the configuration of the client device whose ESET application configuration you want to convert to a policy.

   Click Computers, click the client device and click View Details.

   ESET PROTECT On-Prem

   
   

   Click Computers, click the client device and click Details.

   

   ---

3. Click Configuration → Request Configuration. After the configuration is retrieved, click Security application → Open configuration.

   

4. Click Convert to Policy. The policy creation view will open with the policy settings pre-configured according to the client device configuration.

   

5. Finish creating the policy and assign it to the devices where you want to apply it, adjusting the configuration as needed.
