Issue

You want to upgrade to the latest version of your ESET Endpoint product for macOS

Solution

Before upgrading to the latest version of your ESET product for macOS

Migrate settings from an earlier version of ESET products for macOS to the latest version.
After the upgrade of ESET Endpoint Antivirus or ESET Endpoint Security version 6 to version 8, ESET Endpoint Security will revert to default settings. This means that any customized configurations or policies will be reset to their default values.

ESET PROTECT users:

Upgrade your ESET Endpoint product for macOS to the latest version.
Deploy or upgrade ESET endpoint products using ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem. Select the appropriate installer package for your ESET Endpoint product for macOS and the task will install the latest version over your existing version.
Install your ESET Endpoint product for macOS via ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem.
