ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server renamed

ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server was renamed in version 8.x to ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server. We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version.

  1. What is ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server?
    ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server is an integrated solution specially designed for the Microsoft Windows Server environment. ESET Server Security for Windows delivers effective and robust protection against various types of malware and provides two types of protection: Antivirus and Antispyware.

    Antivirus and Antispyware protection is one of the basic functions of ESET Server Security for Windows. These protections guard against malicious system attacks by controlling files, email and internet communications. If a threat is detected, the Antivirus module can eliminate it by blocking, and then cleaning, deleting or moving it to quarantine.

  3. Which versions of Microsoft Windows Server are supported by ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server?
    ESSW supports most editions of Microsoft Windows Server, including 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022 in standalone and clustered environments. In larger networks, you can use ESET PROTECT On-Prem to manage ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server remotely.
