[KB7917] Activate an iOS device with ESET Endpoint Encryption Server

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Mobile license

In order for Mobile to appear as an option, the EEE license must include a mobile license.

Apply Activation Code

On the mobile device, the user will receive an activation email. Follow the instructions in the email and tap the Activate DESlock+ button. If the activation button does not work open the attachment with the DESlock+ App.

Managing mobile devices

  • After the mobile devices have been activated, they will be added to the EEE Enterprise Server under a special Team called Mobile Devices.

  • There are some differences between the types of workstations. Mobile device workstations do not have a default workstation policy applied to them. Full Disk Encryption commands cannot be sent to Mobile device workstations. Both Mobile device and client workstations can see the status of any posted updates and view alerts related to these devices. Users can create sub-teams as needed.
