Alert Details
On October 5, 2025, ESET technical staff were notified of database issues during maintenance work on ESET’s licensing backend, affecting a small subset of licenses. After identifying the root cause and deploying a fix, the issues were resolved on October 6, 2025.
As a result, seats with the affected licenses that contacted ESET’s infrastructure as part of a routine check-in during that time window could have received incorrect license information, which could have led to the deactivation of the installed ESET security product.
Solution
We urge customers to check their ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem Web Consoles to determine whether any of their seats were left deactivated.
If a seat was impacted by this issue and the installed ESET security product is deactivated, it is necessary to reactivate it. To reactivate your ESET security product, follow this ESET Knowledgebase article.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.
