By default, ESET products check for new updates every hour and are updated at least once a day with new detection engine updates and occasional program component updates.
Solution
Windows users | Business users | Android users
Complete the steps in section I. If the issue is not resolved, proceed to section II.
- Verify that the latest Detection Engine updates have been received
- Verify that your product is activated
I. Verify that the latest Detection Engine updates have been received

Click Update.

If you see the Detection Engine is up to date message, no update is necessary.

If the engine is not up to date, ESET Cyber Security will notify you about this in the Overview and Update screens. Click Update → Check for Update.

If the modules update successfully, you are finished. Otherwise, follow the instructions in section II below.
II. Verify that your product is activated
Make sure your product is activated and if you activated it using the Activation key, make sure you entered it correctly.
