Boot issues on Windows 10 after upgrade to build 1903 with ESET Endpoint Encryption installed
On June 11th, 2019, ESET identified a problem with ESET Endpoint Encryption when upgrading a Windows 10 system to the 1903 build. Installing the update can cause the system to crash when booting.
The issue is triggered when upgrading a Windows 10 system with ESET Endpoint Encryption installed to the 1903 feature update. Installing the update can cause the system to crash (show BSOD) when booting.
This problem has the potential to cause business disruption and we advise customers using ESET Endpoint Encryption and Windows 10 not to upgrade to the new Windows build at this time. Systems that have been affected will need to be decrypted using our recovery tool (if full disk encryption was enabled) and then repaired using the Windows recovery console. See “Resources” below for more details.
