Limitations of updating ESET Inspect Server through ESET PROTECT On-Prem

We do not recommend updating your ESET Inspect Server through an ESET PROTECT On-Prem task. The process can take considerable time due to the database update, and the progress cannot be monitored.

For improved visibility and control, we recommend manually updating (reinstalling) ESET Inspect Server. This way, you can see a progress bar and detailed status information.

Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.
In the navigation panel, click Dashboard.
Click ESET applications.
In the Outdated applications tile, click ESET Inspect Server and select Update installed ESET applications.
Verify that ESET Inspect Server is selected and click OK.
Through the Postpone drop-down menu and Cancel check box, determine whether you want to allow the device user to postpone or cancel the update. Click Update.
