[KB8579] Install a new ESET Inspect Server using the same IP address

Issue

• Install a new ESET Inspect Server with the same IP address as the original, without using the original database

Solution

1. Stop the ESET Inspect On-Prem service on the original ESET Inspect Server machine.

2. Turn off your original ESET Inspect Server machine.

   Verify that your new ESET Inspect Server has the same IP address

   Ensure that the new ESET Inspect Server machine has the same IP address as the original.

3. Run the ESET Inspect Server installer on the new server machine and continue with the installation process.

4. After the installation, log in to the ESET Inspect Server Web Console and verify that the connection works as expected and the new server is functioning correctly.

5. Uninstall or decommission the original ESET Inspect Server.
