[KB7761] Component upgrade to ESET PROTECT On-Prem runs slowly

Issue

  • You have started the Component Upgrade task to upgrade to ESET PROTECT On-Prem and cannot log into the ESET PROTECT Web Console

Solution

Login Failed: Connection has failed with state 'Not connected'

If you see this error message when logging into the ESET PROTECT Web Console, your upgrade is incomplete. Depending on the database size and system configuration, the component upgrade task can take up to two hours or longer to complete. We do not recommend interrupting the process because it can permanently damage the database. 

Do not restart the ESET PROTECT Server or the ESET PROTECT service while the database is upgrading. When the task has been completed, you can log in to your ESET PROTECT Web Console.

If you cannot log into the ESET PROTECT Web Console, the task has not finished running. Do not attempt to restart the ESET PROTECT Server or the ESET PROTECT On-Prem service until you can log in to the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

Upgrade to the latest version of ESET PROTECT On-Prem via Web Console.
