Create Update engine advanced log (etl)
After contacting ESET Technical Support, you might be asked to recreate your issue and provide us with an ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) log from the update. The ETW log can help developers diagnose and fix issues.
ESET endpoint products (version 6.6 and later)
ESET home products (version 10.0.386.x and later)
Press the F5 key to access Advanced setup.
Click Tools → Diagnostics.
Click the slide bar next to Enable Update engine advanced logging.
- Click OK to save your changes and exit Advanced setup.
Reproduce the update issue you are experiencing.
Repeat steps 1 through 5 to disable advanced logging.
- The update engine advanced log will be created (updater_*.etl) in the Diagnostics folder (by default %ProgramData%\ESET\ESET Security\Diagnostics)
