"Encrypted network traffic: Untrusted certificate" is displayed when visiting web pages
One of the following notifications appears on your desktop:
- "Encrypted network traffic: Untrusted certificate" (An application on this computer is trying to communicate over a channel encrypted with an untrusted certificate)
- "Website certificate revoked"
- "Untrusted network certificate"
The following are websites that may cause ESET security alerts:
- sync.tidaltv.com (*tidaltv.com)
ESET products provide alerts about potential security issues due to expired web certificates.
This is not an ESET issue and we have no control in the resolution of this matter. ESET is simply notifying you that the certificate is no longer valid.
Do I need to take action to remove this message?
The following work around is suggested:
In the Encrypted network traffic: Untrusted certificate window, select the radio button next to Remember action for this certificate and then click Block (if you have User Account Control turned on, you will need to confirm this action by clicking Continue).
