ESET Home Network Protection FAQ
Home Network Protection is a new feature included in ESET Smart Security Premium and ESET Internet Security. It is a diagnostic tool that provides information about the security of your router. It will also show all connected devices on your network. It may be necessary to consult support resources for your router, or contact your internet service provider if you lease or own a device they provided, to resolve certain issues within your home network.

The Home Network protection scan is not working.
This can occur for the following reasons:
- Make sure your home network is correctly identified as a home network in your ESET product. The scan will not complete if your home network is identified as a public network in your product.
Make sure you are not attempting to run a scan on a public network.
- Why doesn't my device show up in the list of connected devices?
If your device is not showing up in the list of connected devices, check to be sure your devices are turned on. A device may not show up if it does not respond to the way ESET is searching the network. The device mapping by ESET Home Network protection is dependent on the way your network is set up. For example, your router may have the ability to host more than one logical network.
