Issue
- "Identity of the installer cannot be confirmed" is displayed when attempting to install ESET Cyber Security, ESET Cyber Security Pro or ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Mac Business Edition on macOS and OS X
Details
Apple macOS and some versions of OS X use a new version of Apple digital signing technology. Depending on your operating system configuration and the ESET installer file you are using, ESET products may be blocked from installation because the installers are not yet recognized using this new digital signing method.
Solution
To allow installation of ESET products
If installation of ESET products is being blocked, hold CTRL + click (or right-click if you have a two-button mouse) the installer file, select Open from the context menu and then click Open when you are prompted by Apple Gatekeeper.
