Issue
- You receive an error message while attempting to install ESET NOD32 Antivirus on a remote computer running the Windows XP operating system
- Error message: "Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 1326)"
- Error message: "Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 53)"
- Error message: "Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 1327)"
Solution
Any error message that you experience is likely due to one or more of the following problems:
Error message: "Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 1326)"
The option “Use Simple File Sharing” is enabled.-
Click Start → My Computer.

Click Tools → Folder Options.

In the View tab, deselect Use simple file sharing.

Windows XP system firewall is turned on.

Click Start → Control Panel.

Click Windows Firewall.

In the Exceptions tab, select File and Printer Sharing.
Error message: "Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 1327)"
A user account that is being used to authorize access for the Windows XP workstation has no password.
To authorize access to the workstation where ESET NOD32 Antivirus is to be installed remotely, create a new user account with a password, or assign a password to the existing user account.
