If you are experiencing a slow or unreliable internet connection, follow the steps below to ensure that your ESET product is not interfering with your internet connectivity. You can also use this checklist to diagnose and solve difficulties with network connections to printers or other computers or devices.

  1. For users of all ESET Windows home products, create an SSL scanning exception to ensure that protocol filtering is not interfering with internet connectivity.
    ESET NOD32 Antivirus users

    If you are using ESET NOD32 Antivirus, your internet performance issues are probably caused by protocol filtering problems. Step 2 does not apply to your product.

  2. For users of ESET Smart Security Premium and ESET Internet Security, troubleshoot ESET firewall causing network issues.
