[KB7721] Automatically mount or unmount a virtual disk when logging in or out of the Key-File in ESET Endpoint Encryption

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Solution

New Virtual Disk setup

  1. In the ESET Endpoint Encryption Virtual Disk Wizard, select the check boxes next to the log in and log out options you want to use.

Existing Virtual Disk settings

  1. Right-click the ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) icon in the system tray, select Virtual Disk, then select Virtual Disk Manager. If the EEE icon is not available, click the arrow to show hidden icons.

  2. Select the virtual disk, and click Options.

  3. Update options in the Mount Options window, and click OK.

  4. Click Close to save and exit the Virtual Disk Manager window.
