[KB7563] Verify managed or stand-alone client type in ESET Endpoint Encryption (5.1.x)

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption Client and ESET Endpoint Encryption Server are separate applications from ESET Full Disk Encryption

The article below applies only to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Client or ESET Endpoint Encryption Server and not ESET Full Disk Encryption.

Solution

Check by Proxy Sync

Right-click the ESET Endpoint Encryption icon in the system tray. If the Proxy Sync option is available, the client is managed by an EEE Server.

Check in About ESET Endpoint Encryption

  1. Right-click the ESET Endpoint Encryption icon in the system tray, then select About ESET Endpoint Encryption. If the EEE icon is not available, click the arrow to show hidden icons.

  2. The Installation Type will display the type of system.
