What's new in ESET Security Management Center 7.2.11

ESET Security Management Center 7.2.11 is an enterprise-grade security management solution providing visibility, management and reporting across all operating systems.

The list below contains information about the major changes in ESET Security Management Center version 7.2:

  • New filtering options—"Table Sorting" column sorting with new options from the gear icon:

    • Reset Sorting – Clears all sorting and reverts back to the default sorting criteria.
    • Multiple Sorting – Allows you to select and choose how to sort the columns by clicking each column name and selecting "Ascending" or "Descending" for each item.
  • Select screens redesign—Users, Permission Sets, Scheduled reports, and other screens have been updated, such as:

    Reports template updates
    • The previously-named "Security Management Center management" template is now named "Audit & Licenses (ESET Security Management Center)" but the content of the report templates is the same.
    • Scheduled Reports – The screen now allows you to collapse/expand a submenu and from the three dots for a context menu.
    • Updated bread crumbs for easier navigation to show the template name and time/date.

  • New Dashboard dedicated to ESET Dynamic Threat Defense (EDTD)—By default, the Dashboard will include EDTD.

  • Permission sets (Access Rights)—Along with the new filtering options for Users, the "Actions" button allows you to make changes to the user settings, and the "Add New" button allows you to add new Native users or Mapped domain security group. The "Show Details" option from the three dots context menu will display an overview screen for the user. From the context menu, there is a new "Show Details" option for each Permission set and the ability to add assignments from the context menu.

  • ESET Enterprise Inspector (EEI) for macOS—The ability to manage macOS will be available in a coming version of EEI, see ESET Online Help for more information.

  • LDAPS used as default protocol—Selecting the check box "Use LDAP instead of Active Directory" and entering the specific attributes to match your server, standard LDAP protocol is used. Alternatively, you can select "Presets" and the attributes will be populated automatically.
