[KB7173] Install the ESET Endpoint Encryption on a managed client

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

Solution

To install a managed version of ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE), the installation will need to be generated from the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.

Converting a standalone installation

If you have downloaded ESET Endpoint Encryption from the ESET web site, it is a standalone installation. For the policies set in the EEE Server to be applied to the client machine and to allow for communication between the EEE Server and Client machines using Cloud Proxy, a managed version must be installed. Convert a standalone installation of ESET Endpoint Encryption to a managed installation.
