[KB6519] Exclude an application by name from scanning in ESET Windows home products (15.x – 16.x)

Issue

  • You need to exclude an application from scanning using the application name

Solution

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.
Identify the application

Before you proceed, you need to identify the name of the application that you are excluding. The application will be detected by your ESET product.

For example, it could be potentially unwanted application (PUA), so the application name will be referred to as the detection name in this article.

  1. To find the exact detection name, find the log file that contains the detection you want to exclude and copy the detection name from the Detection column.
