  • Select a mail server for scanning

Solution

Disable Mailbox Database Protection

If you are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, the On-demand database scan will be inactive if Mailbox Database Protection is enabled. 

To disable Mailbox Database Protection:

  1. Press the F5 key to access Advanced setup.

  2. Expand Server Integration and click the toggle next to Enable mailbox database protection to disable it.

  3. Click OK to exit Advanced setup.

In ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server

  1. Open ESET Mail Security. Click Start All ProgramsESET ESET Mail Security.

  2. Click ScanDatabase scan.

  1. Click Edit next to the Mailboxes. Select the mailbox server that you want to scan and click OK.
