[KB56] Why do I receive a NOD32 FAILED error message on my Linux mail server?

Solution

If a NOD32 for Linux File Server license is installed into NOD32 for Linux Mail Server running on a Fedora Core 6 mail server (Postfix with AMAVISD-new) the following error is displayed:

Jan 8 13:14:14 magis amavis[17490]: (17490-02) (!!)run_av (ESET NOD32 for Linux Mail servers) FAILED - unexpected exit 70, output='error[44a40000]: Error identifying to nod32d'
Jan 8 13:14:14 magis amavis[17490]: (17490-02) (!!)ESET NOD32 for Linux Mail servers av-scanner FAILED: /usr/bin/nod32cli un expected exit 70, output='error[44a40000]: Error identifying to nod32d' at (eval 43) line 466.

To fix this, replace the NOD32.LIC file with the correct NOD32 for Linux Mail Server license.
