[KB3664] Edit ESET Server Security for Linux configuration remotely in a network

Issue

Solution

Method 1: Use the ESET web interface to edit configurations directly

If you are on the same network or have network access to the Linux server, you can use the Web interface to access your ESET product configurations.

Web interface

If you do not have a Web interface enabled, enable the Web interface via Terminal.

  1. On a system that is on the same network or with network access to the Linux server, open a web browser and type the URL for the Web interface (https://servername:portnumber). If you receive a certificate warning, accept it.

  2. Type or copy/paste your ESET-issued username and password and click Log in to access the Web interface.

Method 2: Use SSH to edit configurations

You can remotely connect to the Linux server via SSH (Secure Shell) and edit the configuration in the ESET Server Security for Linux.
