[KB3278] The laptop that was added to a my.eset.com account is not visible in online Anti-Theft portal

Solution

Getting started with ESET Anti-Theft: Step 4 of 4 ← my.eset.com account
  1. Open the main program window of your ESETbWindows product.

  2. Disable Anti-Theft.
     
  3. Click Setup → Security Tools, and then click the slider bar next to Anti-Theft to enable it.

  1. Type your my.eset.com login information in the ESET Anti-Theft window and click Sign in.

  1. Type the name you want to give your device into the Set a device name field and click Continue

Use a new device name

Try using a different name for your device than the name you used initially. In some cases this can help with the association process.

  1. Click Close.

  1. The account page for my.eset.com will open in your web browser. Click ESET Anti-Theft.

  1. Your device will appear indicating that your account has been created successfully. Click Optimize this device.

  1. Your device is now optimized. Click the Optimization tab to view additional optimization actions. Click for instructions to resolve Anti-Theft optimization notifications.

Version 8.x

A new version has been released

A new version of ESET Windows home products have been released. We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version.

  • Remember: ESET Windows home products version 9 and later use a License Key for activation. What is a License Key?

      1. Open ESET Smart Security. How do I open my ESET product?

      2. Click Setup, click Enabled next to Anti-Theft and select Disable permanently. Enter the username and password for your my.eset.com account when prompted and click Sign in. Note that these are not the same as the ESET-issued Username and Password that you received following the purchase of your ESET product.

        1. Click Disable Anti-Theft and then click Finish.

        1. Click Setup, click Disabled next to Anti-Theft and then select Setup. Enter your my.eset.com credentials when prompted and click Sign in.

You may receive an Anti-Theft optimization notification the next time that you log in to my.eset.com.
