Disabling the Personal firewall can expose you to threats
Unless you have been instructed by ESET technical support to disable the Personal firewall entirely, we recommend that you use the steps from the following Knowledgebase article to pause the Personal firewall temporarily:
Expand Network → Personal firewall and click System integration.
Select Personal firewall is completely disabled from the System integration drop-down menu. Click OK to confirm your changes. Your Protection status icon will turn red and ESET Smart Security will notify you that a restart is required. After restarting your system, the Personal firewall will be permanently disabled.

When you are finished testing or troubleshooting, proceed to the next section to re-enable the Personal firewall.
