I receive the error message "SELinux not supported" when installing ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop

Solution

ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop products may conflict with SELinux on some Linux distributions. If you receive the error message "SELinux not supported" when attempting to install your ESET security product, we recommend disabling SELinux.

Enter your root password when prompted to and change the “selinux” file to “selinux=disabled”.

  2. Restart your system for the changes to take effect.

Disable SELinux using the GUI

  2. Select the SELinux tab and then select Disabled from the drop-down menu.

  3. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your system for the changes to take effect.
