What's new in ESET Cloud Administrator

ESET Cloud Administrator (ECA) is a cloud-based management console (offered as a service) allowing centralized management of select ESET products. ESET Cloud Administrator allows you to manage your company’s network security without the need to buy, install or maintain additional hardware.

Using the ECA Web Console, you can deploy ESET products, manage tasks, enforce security policies, monitor system status, report on security incidents and quickly respond to problems or threats on remote computers.

Below are some of the important new features in the currently released version of ESET Cloud Administrator:

  • ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)—EFDE is a license-enabled full-disk encryption (FDE) module for Windows computers (excluding servers) that is integrated into management console ESET Cloud Administrator. EFDE allows one-click deployment and encryption initialization with all the remaining workflows fully manageable via a single pane of glass.
  • Added support for management of Linux workstations—We are broadening our platform coverage by introducing the ability to manage the latest Linux security product, ESET File Security for Linux (version 7), to bring more value to our customers. Starting on the day of its release, ECA version is also ready to support the upcoming ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux version 7.
  • Tags—Allow marking all relevant objects (computers, policies, etc.) with user-defined tags, which can be further used for enhanced filtering and finding. Tagging is natively integrated in all primary screens of the ESET console. Tags are user-defined key words / labels that you can add to different objects to make them easier to group, filter and find. For example, you can assign a tag “VIP” for your relevant assets and quickly identify all objects that are associated with them.

  • Unified Exclusions interface—We have added the “Advanced machine learning module” to our managed security products and improved the workflow of detections handling. We have introduced new scanner settings for defining detection sensitivity and handling of infections combined with the new wizard for exclusion management to streamline the work with our products and further improve customer’s security posture. Additionally, a centralized window to manage all detection exclusions further increases visibility and simplifies the management workload.
