ESET File Security for Microsoft Azure versions 7.0.x and above contain an externally reported security vulnerability CVE-2021-37852 [CVSS 7.8]. This does not include ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server versions 8.0.12010.0, 8.0.12011.0, 7.3.12008.0, and 7.3.12009.0.
ESET Server Security VM extension for Microsoft Azure will reach End of Life status on June 30, 2022. A new version of this product is not planned. Users must upgrade ESET File Security for Microsoft Azure to the latest version of ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server.
Solution
Local method: Uninstall / Install upgrade

Log in to ESET File Security for Microsoft Azure extension.

Export product settings into an
.xml
file. -
Uninstall the current ESET File Security for Microsoft Azure extension from your virtual machine through the Azure Portal. Reboot your virtual machine if prompted.
What is new in ESET Server Security for Windows?

Import product settings that you exported in step 2.
Remote method: Uninstall / Install upgrade via ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Open ESET PROTECT On-Prem in your web browser and log in.

Follow the instructions to upgrade the product via ESET PROTECT On-Prem.
