[KB3427] Emails from my own email account are categorized as spam

Issue

Solution

I. Deselect the option to add addresses from user's own accounts to the Exceptions list automatically

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Press the F5 key to open Advanced Setup.

  3. Expand Web and Email, click Email client protection and expand Antispam Address Books.

  4. Click the slider bar next to Add addresses from own accounts to deselect it and then click OK.

II. Delete user's email address from the Whitelist

Remove your own email address from the Users.

 

III. Delete user's email address from the Blacklist

Confirm that your own email address is not on the User's Blacklist. If it is, delete your email address from the Users.

 

IV. Delete user's email address from the Exceptions list

Delete your own email address from the User's Exceptions list:

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Click Setup Internet protection.

  1. Click the gear icon next to Antispam protection and select User's Exceptions list.

  1. If your email address is in the User's Exceptions list, select it and then click Delete. Click OK to close the window. Emails from your account should no longer be categorized as spam. If emails from your own account are still categorized as spam and sent to your junk folder, please contact ESET technical support.
