Details

Undoubtedly the main change that ESET Remote Administrator 6.5 brings is the new Access Rights Management which allows for isolation of data and control over access to objects and tasks. Also new is the support for Apple Device Enrollment Program and the expansion of Apple Mobile Device management settings (including application control). Among changes related to policies is the Override Mode which allows administrators to temporarily change settings set by a policy on the endpoints for troubleshooting purposes. Performance and responsiveness of the product was also improved, thanks to a database redesign. As for user interface, various useful and often used links from across the whole webconsole were gathered to one common place to the new “Quick links” and “Help” menus for easy access and discoverability. There are also several user interface and usability improvements throughout the webconsole, as well as plenty of other new features, improvements and fixes. For a detailed list of all the changes in ESET Remote Administrator 6.5 and for the download links (or upgrade resources) see our release announcement and FAQ / What's New article.

Note

If you are not able to log in to your webconsole shortly after the upgrade finished, please wait and do not restart the server or the service, as there was a change of the upgrade mechanism and the database upgrade may still be in progress. Upgrade time will vary depending on your database size and system configuration.
