ESET Secure Authentication iOS Mobile App issue with iOS 11

Earlier identified issue

After upgrading to iOS 11, in some cases, the tokens get lost from ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) mobile app.

Possible solutions

  • If you are still on iOS 10, before the upgrade to iOS 11:
    • make sure to update ESA mobile app to the latest version released September 27th, 2017
    • open the updated mobile app
    • proceed with the upgrade to iOS 11
  • If you are on iOS 7, 8 or 9, use the guide above. It is supposed to work, however, we were not able to test it. 


We are searching for a fix for those who already upgraded to iOS 11, and their tokens got lost. We are in touch with Apple, but it takes time to find the solution.

If you cannot wait for the solution to retrieve the lost tokens, re-provision the affected user(s).
